Q. As an international buyer, can I choose a cheaper shipping method?
A. Unfortunately, because of past experiences with lost packages and delayed delivery time, we have chosen to only ship via USPS EMS Global Express. This shipping method includes insurance and tracking. Delivery time is approximately 3-5 business days but could take longer depending on your country’s import procedures.

 

Q. Does the international shipping charge include import tax and/or customs fees?
A. No, you are responsible to pay your country's import tax and duties. It is your country's law. Being that we do not have this information available, Please check with the proper local authorities before placing your bid.

 

Q. Can you put a lower value on the package, so I can pay less import tax?
A. Unfortunately, we cannot put a lesser value on the package because of insurance purposes. We are very strict about this policy, so please don’t ask us to do so. We will not ship a package without insurance. This is for your protection as well as ours.

 

Q. I just won the auction. How do I pay for the item?
A. You can follow the instructions in the notification e-mail regarding checkout, or you can click on the checkout now button at the bottom of the auction page. During this process, you will be able to choose your preferred method of payment and method of shipping.

 

Q. I am an international buyer. What are my payment options?
A. We can only accept international credit card payments through Paypal.com or Auctionpayments.com. We cannot, under any circumstances, accept international checks or money orders. If you are a Canadian resident, we can accept postal money orders (must be postal).

 

Q. I am an international buyer, and when I try to checkout, my country is not on the list. I cannot complete the checkout. What do I do?
A. You can bypass the checkout and go directly to Paypal.com to submit the payment. Please send your payment to ebay@southbaycamera.com. Please include the item number of the auction you won. If you choose to send a money order in lieu of paying with a credit card through Paypal, you can go directly to Auctionpayments.com. This is the only type of international money order we will accept.

 

Q. I tried to go through the checkout, but I am getting a message stating my invoice cannot be located. What do I do?
A. If you chose the “buy it now” option, it can take up to 15 minutes for an invoice to be generated. If your invoice still cannot be located, please make sure you are using the e-mail address that is registered to your Ebay account. Otherwise, our software will not recognize you as the winner of the auction. If you have recently changed your e-mail, Ebay may still have your old e-mail address on file. It is okay to use that e-mail address. It is only used for you to be able to checkout.

 


Q. Can I call you and pay you directly with a credit card?
A. No, unfortunately, we are not set up to take direct credit card payments at this time. The only way we can accept credit card payments is through Paypal.com.

 

Q. Do you accept personal checks and money orders?
A. Yes, we only accept personal checks and money orders from US residents. Please note if you send a personal check, your item will not be shipped until 7-10 business days after we receive the payment. Even though the check may have cleared your bank already, please understand that it is not possible for us to keep track of the clearing date of each individual check. So, if you would like to expedite shipping, please send a money order.

 

Q. I am interested in a few of your items. Do you combine shipping?
A. Yes, we do combine shipping for multiple orders. If you are a domestic resident, please take the highest shipping rate for one of the items you are interested in and add $2.00 for each additional item. Please note that this rate may change if the other items are extra large in size or excessive in weight. If you are an international resident, the same rule applies except each additional item will cost $5.00 extra.

 

Q. I would like to change the contents of the package in your auction. Is it possible to do that?
A. Yes, if you would like to change a package that we have listed, or if you don’t see what you are looking for, please call us toll free at 1-877-961-5600, and a sales representative will be able to assist you.

 

Q. When do I receive feedback from you, and when should I leave my feedback?
A. We will leave you feedback after we receive payment and the package has been shipped. Please understand that feedback is very important to us. If you are satisfied with the item and the transaction, we look forward to your positive comment. However, if there is a problem, please do not leave negative feedback before contacting us. We strive to provide excellent customer service and will correct any mistake that has been made. We are very accommodating and eager to please. All we ask is that you give us a chance to do so before placing any negative comments on Ebay.
